Inspired by the towering Nuptse peak, the original 1990s Nuptse range was groundbreaking for its innovative baffle construction, which minimised down shifting to provide lasting warmth. The 1996 Retro Nuptse Down Gilet brings a modern twist to this iconic design. Retaining key features such as the boxy silhouette, shiny ripstop fabric, exposed zip, and oversized baffles, it offers the same timeless appeal. However, there have been some thoughtful upgrades: the gilet now boasts 700-fill responsibly sourced down, a water-repellent finish, and recycled materials. The hood tucks neatly into the collar, and the gilet itself packs into its right-hand pocket, making it as practical as it is stylish.
