Barbour x Baracuta is a collaboration between two of Britain’s most iconic outerwear brands, each with deep Northern-English roots and a legacy of craftsmanship. Barbour, founded in 1894 in South Shields, became renowned for its durable waxed jackets originally made for fishermen and sailors, while Baracuta, established in Manchester in 1937, gained fame with its sleek G9 Harrington jacket, a symbol of both style and practicality. Their partnership, first unveiled in Autumn/Winter 2023, reimagined Baracuta’s classic G9 with Barbour’s signature waxed cotton and combined both brands’ tartans in the lining, celebrating their shared heritage. Since then, the collaboration has continued to blend iconic pieces from each archive, uniting Northern-English identity, craftsmanship, and timeless subcultural style in modern outerwear.
