The Japanese sock brand Anonymous Ism has its roots in small_scale artisan sock_making: its founder began by producing socks for other companies, using vintage 1970s knitting machines salvaged in Japan, which allowed for complex textures and rich patterns that standard mass_manufacturing couldn't match.
