Renowned globally for their sleek and minimalist camping gear, Japanese brand Snow Peak has partnered with American heritage label Danner this season to create a unique version of their Light II hiker boots.
In this special iteration of the Light II hiking boot, Snow Peak has collaborated with Danner to enhance fire resistance by utilising a unique fire-resistant cow leather specifically crafted for campfire settings. Similar to the standard Light II, the upper features a combination of this leather and durable 1,000D nylon panelling. However, the usual Vibram Kletterlift sole has been replaced with the more versatile and grippy Vibram Megagrip for better traction.
The boot remains to be handmade in Danner's HQ of Portland with their signature detailing elements - such as the stitchdown construction for easy resoling, the Airthotic footbed & a fiberglass shank. Snow Peak's branding can be found embossed on the heel and the lace lock for a premium touch.
A key feature of any reliable hiking boot is effective waterproofing. These boots come equipped with a GORE-TEX lining, ensuring fully waterproof yet breathable protection while you're on the trail. Additionally, the lightweight Vibram Kletterlift outsole offers excellent traction, making it suitable for all types of terrain, whether wet or dry.
