We're excited to welcome the addition of the legendary British sailing brand Henri Lloyd to our lineup for Autumn/Winter. Known globally as one of the most respected names in sailing, Henri Lloyd's latest collection for AW24 is a standout, drawing inspiration from some of their most iconic designs from the archives while subtly embracing the Terrace culture that has become part of their legacy.

Henri Lloyd - A Brief History
Polish-born Henri Strzelecki, an avid sailor, found himself in the UK after World War II, driven by a deep passion for yachting, sailing, and the outdoor lifestyle. Frustrated by the lack of clothing that could truly endure the harsh marine conditions, Mr. Henri, as he became known in the UK, immersed himself in the textile industry. His journey sparked a lifelong fascination with fabrics and design.
At the time, synthetic fabrics were a relatively new development, and Mr. Henri saw the immense potential in materials like nylon for creating durable, waterproof, and weather-resistant clothing. In 1963, he teamed up with British financier Angus Lloyd to launch Henri-Lloyd Ltd. The brand's name, a combination of their surnames, would go on to represent quality and innovation in marine apparel for decades to come.

Operating out of a converted chapel in Greater Manchester, Henri Lloyd's team pioneered the use of cutting-edge materials and industry-first construction techniques. They also introduced vital safety features to the market, setting new standards in the industry. The brand was an early adopter of technologies like Velcro, Gore-Tex, and Bri-Nylon, innovations that solidified its place as a visionary sailing brand from Salford.
Committed to functionality and real-world performance, Henri Lloyd collaborated with prominent figures in sailing and exploration, including Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, and Shirley Robertson.

In the 1980s and '90s, the brand gained a devoted following in Scandinavia, where their iconic crown and wreath logo became a familiar sight across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. This connection deepened when a Swedish investment firm acquired the brand in 2018, shifting focus to the European market.
While much has evolved since Henri Strzelecki and Angus Lloyd founded the company in 1963, the brand's core ethos remains unchanged: a relentless drive for innovation and a commitment to pushing boundaries in marine apparel.

With over 60 years of crafting some of the most innovative sailing apparel, the Autumn Winter 2024 collection offers a rich array of designs to draw inspiration from. Check out a few of our standout favourites from the latest lineup below.
