Stylist Notes

The Camo Bucket Hat is a particularly useful piece of headwear which takes inspiration from a vintage fishing hat found in Nigel’s archives. It’s a short-brimmed, flat-topped bucket hat, made from a blend of cotton and linen, that works just as well for keeping the sun out of your eyes as it does for keeping the rain-drops off your face.

This one features a unique camouflage pattern which was also first used by Nigel Cabourn back in the mid-80s. The stand-out pattern is based on the broad ‘brushstrokes’ camo which was worn by the British SAS during WW2 (most famously on the Denison smocks worn by paratroopers), with brighter, more vibrant colours replacing the traditional brown and green earth tones of the original.

Whether you’re having an afternoon in the park or you’re heading to the hills, thanks to its unstructured design, this is the ideal hat to pack on a trip outdoors.
