Spanish born Pompeii emerges from the fusion of individuals sharing a singular life philosophy - a philosophy centered around perpetual soulful, physical, and mental exploration. History Behind The Pompeii Brand
Pompeii originated in 2014 as a response to the lack of enthusiasm sparked by the founders university experiences. Former college friends bound by their love for trainers, they embarked on the journey to establish a footwear brand fuelled by immense excitement and a notable lack of expertise. Years of traversing Spain in a van peddling shoes allowed them to evolve alongside their venture, ultimately discovering their purpose: crafting a lifestyle brand centred on the ethos of "walking" - the perpetual motion of spirit, body, and intellect.
Their aesthetic straddles the line between formal and informal, finding comfort in the grey areas. Grounded in their Spanish heritage, which they proudly exhibit, the brand draws profound inspiration. Aware that they're not universally appealing, nor do they aspire to be, Pompeii is driven by a passion for design, culture, and athletics, catering to those who embrace a journey of continuous growth, step by step.
The four founding friends have grown the Pompeii brand from their humble beginnings of selling out of their van & pop up shops to what it is today, now producing over 70,000 units of footwear and clothing a year. With a bigger focus on the environmental impact that comes with those production numbers, and to be 'part of the solution', the brand now uses recycled materials wherever & whenever they can - for example now all of their shoe insoles are manufactured from recycled materials.
