Clarks Originals x Popcaan Wallabee

Clarks Originals and Jamaican star Popcaan have joined forces this season to bring an exclusive twist to the iconic Wallabee silhouette. Popcaan, otherwise known as Andrae Hugh Sutherland, began making a name for himself when he joined Vybz Kartel's Gaza Music Empire. Since then, he has been writing and making music to please millions of people around the world & now his journey has come full circle, now having his very own iteration of the Wallabee he sang about over a decade ago.

Popcaan's profound connection to Clarks Originals runs like deep-rooted vines. This Jamaican musical luminary graced the iconic stage alongside Vybz Kartel in the globally renowned dancehall anthem "Clarks," where the opening lyrics resounded, asking, "A wey yuh get tha new Clarks deh, dawdi?" From that moment, the pages of history turned, and this now-celebrated solo artist has etched his name into the annals of music, bearing the honor of a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album and the weight of two Jamaica Music Awards among his many accomplishments.

For his debut collaboration with Clarks Originals, Popcaan lends the Wallabee Boot an off-beat look and feel - it's an icon remade for today's generation. On closer inspection you can spot the artist's distinctive "Unruly" insignia subtly woven into the pattern, even adorning the insole. To harmonize this collaboration in a resounding fashion statement, co-branded fobs in both fiery red and sleek black unite the design elements, while meticulously crafted stitching and the iconic crepe soles unmistakably bear the hallmark of Clarks.

Speaking on his collaboration, Popcaan says "Stepping into the world of fashion is like creating a new melody in my career, and this collaboration with Clarks feels as iconic as when the tribute song was released in 2010. It's about keeping the rhythm of style and culture alive, one step at a time." Shop our full Clark Originals collection below, with the Popcaan Wallabee releasing Friday 10th November.
