Stylist Notes

The Gold Janus Necklace has a matte finish pendant for an antique effect on a decorative Figaro neck chain. The necklace is made from 925 Sterling Silver, plated in 14KT Gold, and is hallmarked by the London Assay Office verifying its quality. The pendant is a coin adaptation featuring the Roman God, Janus. Janus was the god of beginnings and transitions in Roman mythology, and presided in transitional periods such as from war to peace. He was depicted as having two faces looking in opposite directions, one towards the past and the other towards the future. Coming out of 2020 we wanted Janus to play a key part in this collection, representing the start of a new way of life for many of us and as a symbol of strength that we got through it. The 2cm pendant hangs on a 2mm Figaro chain which can be worn at its shortest length of 47cm or increased in 3cm increments to its longest length 56cm.
