C17 Jeans

Founded in 1972 by AndrŽ Desseilles in Castelnaudary, southern France, C17 Jeans began as a denim-wear label and quickly rose during the 1970s and 1980s to become one of Europe's top jeans brands „ at its peak selling up to three million pairs annually and becoming the continent's second biggest jeans brand after Levi's. Over time the company expanded its range beyond classic jeans to shirts, jackets and other denimwear, with looser fits that resonated with '80s and '90s youth fashion. However, shifting market dynamics in the late 1990s led to decline and the brand eventually disappeared from many markets. In 2019 it was revived under the licence of Stuarts London, with its Autumn/Winter 2019 collection re-launching C17 Jeans with a nod to its 1990s archives „ bringing back its relaxed fits and heritage denim for a new generation.
