Dr.Martens Made in England Size Guide

Fit is an essential ingredient in footwear. There are few simple guidelines that if followed can make the process easy:

1) Tap your heel back in the heel cup and lace the Shoe. The Shoe should feel snug across the ball, around the instep, and in the heel. The arch should be comfortably supported and the toes should be free to wiggle and curl.

2) The toes should not jam into the front of the shoe. Check this by lightly tapping the toe of the shoe into the floor. If the shoe fits correctly, the toes should gently touch the end of the shoe. See below the Dr Marten's size guide.

Materials & Care

  • Upper: 100% Leather
  • Lining: 75% Textile, 25% Leather
  • Sole: 100% PVC
  • A retro version of our signature smooth leather with subtle grained effect and contrast base colour
  • Clean away dirt using a damp cloth and allow to dry, then apply a Dr. Martens Neutral or colour wax shoe polish as appropriate to restore shine as desired. Do not use any leather cleaners as they could damage the two-tone effect.
  • Please Note: Although part of the Archival Collection and made to the specifications of the originals, today, the boots are made in Thailand

Stylist Notes 

Created by looking into Dr. Martens archive for design inspiration, these styles have been replicated to look as they were when first manufactured. The specification on leather, colour and method of manufacture is precise. A more traditional biscuit-backed leather has been used and colour-matched to archive samples that came out of the factory in the earlier days of Dr. Martens. The last shape is shallower and the sole colour has also been altered to match the older shade. Laces are flat and cotton, exact copies of the original versions found. The 5 Eyelet Monkey Boot Vintage Smooth is a retro version of our signature smooth leather with a subtle grained effect and contrast base colour. This is a Goodyear-welted product meaning the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions. Dr. Martens air-cushion sole is oil and fat-resistant and offers good abrasion and slip resistance.
