Stylist Notes

The year of the metal rat is mirrored in a variety of ways in the denim. The 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim used both red and metallic gold selvedge ID. The denim itself is crafted from rope dyed slub yarns that create this unique textured look in the finished product. With time, the indigo will chip away to produce high quality vertical fades – creating each and every pair unique to the wearer. The denim also features red pocket bags, a red and gold selvedge coin pocket. This is then all finished with silver metallic buttons and rivets showing you that not one detail was overlooked in the craftsmanship and design of these unique year of the metal rate denim. Along with this, natural veg tan gold foil is used to emboss the leather patch. Within the patch, an extremely detailed rat breaking through a barrier is shown with nuts and bolts flying – adding a little drama to a classic denim. The rope-dyed indigo slub yarns begin with a textured surface and true to selvedge denim, it will only continue to become more beautiful as time passes.
