This season's collaboration collection to get your hands upon has arrived! On July the 15th, Grenson launched their latest Triple Welt Collection in the form of a collaboration with three very unique designers in order to celebrate the best of traditional British shoemaking combined with Japenese design.
This design coalition features Grenson's very own Tim Little, Shinsuke Takizawa, the top designer from Neighbourhood and The Fourness's Kazuki Kuarashi.
The Grenson Vier : Our initial impressions were that of awe as we opened the shoebox to see this very unique, cropped monkey boot looking right back at us. Complete with signature ladder lace, in beige nubuck, with a royal blue elastic panel and heel tip and loop this design is one of beauty and is a definite must buy for those of us who would add an edgy attitude towards a relaxed style. The sole of the Grenson Vier are leather with a natural triple welt offering a unique insight into traditional English Boot Making.
The Grenson Fyra is a very unique interpretation of a classic 10-eyelet derby boot. Almost like marmite, this design comes with a vamp, counter and back strip in black matt leather whilst the legs are in mahogany hi shine. For this design the Grenson 4 have added an elastic panel to the inside and outside leg in beige. Like all of the Grenson 4 models the Fyra has the Grenson 4 logo stamped on the back strip, and matching beige back loop and rubber heel piece. The sole of the Fyra are made from leather with a natural Triple Welt, which is a true Grenson signature. The Fyra's features, design and quality in manufacturing alone makes us water in the mouth at the sheer sight of British shoemaking at its finest.
The Quatre: A toecap Derby work boot, in cognac grained leather, chocolate suede and contrasting brown elastic panel and loop and red rubber heel tip. The ‘ logo is embossed on the back strip. The soles are leather with a natural triple welt. ‘Quatre’ is a simple plain 5 eyelet Gibson, in black calf leather, with olive green elastic sides. The sole is leather on a natural Triple Welt with an olive green rubber heel tip. Of all of the Grenson 4 collection this boot, in particular, is a standout peice.
