Drawing inspiration from one of their original performance shoes found in Diadora's 1989 running catalogue, the latest Conquest model encapsulates the quintessence of vintage sneakers within their Heritage collection. With its sleek design, the Conquest embodies an enduring allure whilst paying homage to their long line of heritage over the years on and off the courts.
The uppers of the shoe are crafted with a complete cow leather suede, enhanced by drapes of leather and canvas detailing throughout the tongue & heel tab, adding a layered effect that was so prominent on other running models alike throughout the 80s.
During production a stonewash treatment is used to soften the leather and wax finishing, giving an exaggerated almost weathered & worn in effect to the uppers - evoking the essence of running shoes from a bygone era. Similarly the midsole on the Conquest has been oxidised to give a vintage worn in feel that ties in with the contrasting flat lacing system.
The Conquest arrives for SS24 in three seasonal colourways ahead of Spring - Eucalyptus Green, Coral Gold & Blue. The vibrant colour palette is ideal for the approaching warmer weather whilst also paying tribute to Diadora's original running catalogue of the 80s.
