Autumn sees another fresh drop from Karhu that brings updates to the Fusion XC, Legacy 96, and Aria 95 presented in natural tones of spruce wood and birch. Each pair from the collection is highlighted by darker accent colours that are ready for any 'fall outing or backyard gathering', with the collections campaign paying homage to the Finnish game M_lkky.
Karhu collaborated with the Milan-based store Spectrum and the like-minded creative group La Veritiera M_lkky to host an evening of entertainment with a Finnish flair for the collections debut. The "M_lkky Blokk Party" was hosted in Milan's legendary Bocciofila Martesana to commemorate the phenomenal backyard throwing game's ascent to fame in Finland. The goal of the Finnish game M_lkky, which is played by teams or individuals, is to score fifty points by tossing a wooden pin at smaller wooden pins that each have a different point value. The game is entirely designed, sourced, and produced in Finland.
In Italy, where amateur clubs like La Veritiera M_lkky were founded out of a shared love for the game, M_lkky has swept the gaming industry over the past ten years. Multifaceted artists and Milanese nightlife agitators Loris Gentile and Mino Luchena established La Veritiera M_lkky in 2022. They want to incorporate M_lkky into the very fabric of the Italian underground scene, working with various creatives to achieve this.
The latest Fusion XC iterations are a most definitely a premium hiking trainer, combining a unique retro aesthetic with efficient modern functionality and waterproof features carrying on Karhu's proud outdoor legacy. Sitting on top of Karhu's signature specled midsole, the silhouette features a rubber toe bumper for protection, t-profile outsole for extra grip & a fully gusseted tongue to keep out dirt.
The original Aria 95 included cutting-edge technology including an internal carbon fibre fulcrum and a mono tongue upper construction for a pleasant ride that were genuinely ahead of their time. Due to its ease of wear and comfort, this enduring 90s design is now a fixture in the Karhu Legend line of trainers.
