Straight out of the -80s, Diadora's iconic leather -Trainer' returns. First released over 40 years ago as an indoor handball shoe, the Trainer quickly evolved into a terrace favourite & is now being re-issued as part of the brand's heritage collection, sporting the iconic Fregio stripe and 5 ball signature logo.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Diadora made significant strides in the tennis world by securing endorsements from tennis icons like Guillermo Vilas, Martin Mulligan, and Bj_rn Borg. These partnerships helped Diadora establish a strong presence in sportswear, particularly with the release of the Borg Elite in the early 1980s, which featured cutting-edge trainer technology and was backed by Borg's "Ice Man" image. However, Diadora's influence wasn't limited to tennis.

The brand also embraced the popular gum-soled indoor training shoes trend of the 1970s, inspired by classics like PUMA's Suede and adidas' Gazelle. In the 1980s, Diadora introduced its own gum-soled models, such as the Trainer, Aberdeen & Tokyo, originally designed for indoor training & sports, however they quickly became a favourite on the terraces across the country.

The trainer silhoutte now returns constructed with premium cow leather uppers, overlayed with stonewashed pigskin detailing. This timeless 7-eyelet trainer effortlessly blends vintage style with modern-day comfort, featuring a cushioned collar and a removable cowhide insole for exceptional comfort. Under foot the iconic handball rubber gum sole remains with suede detailing to the toe box, secured with classic flat cotton laces.
