Stylist Notes

This Field Parka is from the And Wander x Danner collaboration. Based on the mountain snow parka of the US Army Mountain Corps manufactured in the 1940s, it is designed with a modern essence. The outer fabric is made of cotton nylon weather cloth woven with INVISTA's CORDURA thread, so it is resistant to abrasion and tearing, and the high-density woven structure prevents it from absorbing moisture and protects it from rain and wind. POLARTEC's ALPHA DIRECT is used on the back of the body part, so it is moderately warm and comfortable to wear. The fabric is partially woven with reflective thread in a ripstop pattern, and part of the stitching is reflective stitched for visibility at night. The hood and hem use the same material as the collaboration boots for the laces with woven reflectors, the leather zip puller, and the leather tag on the left sleeve. Illustrations of Mt. Rainier and the Seattle skyline are printed on the back of the back yoke.
