Danner Boots has partnered up with fellow outerwear label And Wander to create a new exclusive iteration of the iconic Danner Light. The boot marries together true American heritage & the details and craftsmanship that has come to be expected of both brands.
The Danner x AndWander Light is handcrafted in Danner’s Portland , Oregon factory – one that has been deeply rooted in the traditions of American craftsmanship and quality since 1932. The silhouette boasts Danner’s famed stitchdown method which involves the leather being pulled down around the anatomical last, flared out and cemented to the midsole, then stitched to the outsole. The result is a recraftable boot that has a 360-degree stitch for added durability and comfort.
On top of Danner’s impressive build quality, this model features intricate details from the Japanese label that also combines fashion and functionality into the urban scene. Also featuring is a ripstop side panel from And Wander that has reflective shock absorption using reflective yarn woven into the fabric. This paired with reflective laces provides night-time visibility.
The uppers are constructed from a premium waterproof suede that is paired with paired with a breathable Gore-Tex liner – that is also 100% waterproof. This waterproof upper alongside the stitchdown construction from Danner provides excellent drainage & prevents water accumulating on the boot.
The outsole of choice is the the Vibram® Sierra with Megagrip. The high performance rubber compound offers unparalleled grip properties on both dry and wet terrains. Extremely durable, it is the perfect solution for long distances, new adventures and your favourite outdoor activities. The wide platform also provides high grip and abrasion resistance.
Inside your foot sits on top of the Airthotic Foam Ortholite footbed. The insole technology from OrthoLite creates a thermal barrier that provides unmatched temperature regulation whilst instep cups surround the heel and supports the arch area of the foot.
