Paul & Shark boasts a rich heritage through their Italian beginnings, encompassing quality, style & timeless flare. After 3 years the brand returns here to Stuarts with their AW22 collection, paying homage to that very same sentiment that earned the label their stripes.
Paul & Shark – A Brief History
Since the very beginning Paul & Shark has recognised the value of applying integrated production & having control of each stage of the crafting timeline. In 1957 founder Gian Ludovinco took control of the ‘Maglificio Daco’ mill – which became the hub for the label. It’s strategic location allowed easy access for sourcing local yarns & produce fabrics and packaging in-house.
Fast forward 20 years to the early 70’s, Paolo Dini (the eldest son of Gian) had travelled to a small sailmaker’s workshop in Maine. In the workshop Paolo uncovered an old 18th century clipper boat. It’s sail had the boats name ‘Paul & Shark’ in scripted. It was from here the name for his father’s label was born.

The labels new released AW collection pays homage to those nautical environments that has been so key to their success. Stand out pieces such as the Typhoon Corduroy Jacket feature PrimaLoft wadded padding. PrimaLoft provide many different variations of down insulation of padding, constructed from ultra-fine fibres that trap warmth and regulate body temperature.
Another stand out piece from the collection is the latest iteration of Shacket. Crafted from a polyester/elastane blend it’s lightweight feel makes it the ideal layering piece with other aspects of the collection such as the Crew Neck Sweatshirt.
