Are Cloudnovas Comfortable?

The Cloudnova combines two of On Running’s patented technologies developed by the company themselves. The first being their groundbreaking CloudTec® integrated into the outsole giving a cushioned landing and an explosive take-off.

The outsole is also designed to reduce fatigue and lower heart rate through its unique grid design that gives a personalized performance. Its multi-directional cushioning means that the cushioning only activates upon landing just when you need it – pretty clever.

Are Cloudnova Shoes Good For Working Out?

In a good running shoe usually, you have to choose between a cushioned shoe or or something that has a harder sole for an explosive takeoff. On Running decided you shouldn’t have to choose. How did they do it? Through the combination of their CloudTec® cushion system and Speedboard® designed for maximum propulsion.

The Speedboard® is based around a liquid-injected plate of thermoplastic polymer sitting between the CloudTec® midsole and the upper working in combination with the CloudTec® midsole. On Running describe the Speedboard® like an archer pulling back the string on a bow loading the impact of your stride ready to release it as you come out of your stride.

The Cloudnova combines both these innovative technologies giving you an effortless feel to your stride whatever you’re doing in your On Running shoes. The addition of rubber reinforcements supports the natural rolling motion of the foot for added fatigue reduction and comfort.

How Are Cloudnovas Constructed?

The uppers give a slip-on feel with its heel-tongue and inner sock construction give max flexion in multiple directions with a padded heel for the ultimate in all-day comfort and support. Meshing performance and cutting-edge design, with the Cloudnova you get the best of both worlds.
