The Barbour Beacon® Sports Wax Jacket AW21

What Barbour Jacket Featured In Skyfall?

Exciting news for AW21 at Stuarts London from Barbour. The Barbour Beacon® Sports Wax Jacket is returning for AW21! One of their most popular jackets ever, the Sports Wax Jacket is a re-release of the original Barbour x To Ki To jacket worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in the final scenes of Skyfall (2012) that is no longer in production. The original jacket was a limited edition release but proved to be so popular that the Barbour has decided to bring the jacket back with the Barbour Beacon® Sports Wax Jacket for AW21.

How Is The Barbour Jacket Constructed?

In fact, the latest version coming this season is actually a more screen-accurate version of the jacket – without a hood and the zip removed. Recognisable for its slightly smarter more slim-fitting silhouette, the jacket was designed with many features of a hunting jacket including rear game pocket, storm flap collar and large front pockets.

What Makes The Bond Jacket So Special?

The jacket marked a turning point for Bond that made something about the character attainable for the first time – probably why the jacket was so wildly popular. Come to think of it, it was criminal that Bond had not worn a Barbour previously – the brand pairing made so much sense and when it finally happened it was like that feeling of slipping on your favourite Barbour jacket it just felt right.

The jacket is also, like all Barbour products, ridiculously well made. Coming in a medium weight wax cotton canvas, soft leather trims, elbow patches and shoulder pads for added robustness the jacket treads the line perfectly between casualwear and something more formal meaning its endlessly versatile.

The best news of all is that as a long time stockist of Barbour, Stuarts London we will be getting the jacket in very soon ready for AW21. Better be quick if you want to grab one, we have a feeling this one is going to be a popular one.
