Footballs Coming Home…
The Euro 2020 is finally in sight, with the first match only a month away, Turkey Vs Italy. After the year we’ve had, the hope of returning out with friends and family could not have been timed better. The UEFA is set to be the 16th European Championship and will be held across 11 cities. Initially set to be in July of 2020, it will now officially be rescheduled for the 11th of June to the 11th of July. To mark this euros in particular, the tournaments will be set across several nationals to simply celebrate the 60th ‘birthday’ of the European Championship. Something particularly exciting is that the Wembley stadium is set to host the semi-finals and finals for the second time ever. This has not been done since 96’. London has been chosen as it is able to hold the most spectators in the famous stadium than any other country that is playing. Portugal, the defending champions from 2016 are set to make their first match against Hungary on the 15th of June.
