CP Company Coat

SS20 sees CP Company paying homage to its early beginnings, whilst simultaneously having one eye set to the future. Many of the garments featured this season have been in CP Companies repertoire for decades but we see them here reimagined for contemporary needs and usage.

As always CP company nail that sweet spot between clean, minimal, military inspired design with highly functional garments which today more and more users are seeking. One of the things CP company do so well is produce balance in their garments – the garments never feel overly busy with pockets and details, they always seem to get it just right.

Stand out pieces for this season include the ‘Diagonal Quarter Zip’ which fulfils all the technical wants of the modern man. Made from a super comfortable loopback makò cotton with on trend half-zip closure and subtle, but appreciated, functional details such as thumb holes in the cuffs and hidden zip closure pocket on the arm are practical features which are rarely seen on designer garments and these features can be seen throughout the collection.

Another piece from the collection which wowed the Stuarts team was the M.T.T.N Special Dyed Goggle Jacket. The Riviera blue colour they have achieved with the dye process is truly unique and not something you see every day. The fabric is also something very special. The ‘Multi Tension Trilobate Nylon’ which CP Company pioneered is extremely lightweight yet sturdy and hardwearing as well as weather and water resistant. Truly an achievement in garment technology.

Here at Stuarts London we also have in stock one of the earliest CP Company designs the 50 Fili utility vest. On trend this season, the utility vest trend has been adopted by the likes of ASAP Rocky, Virgil Abloh of Off-White and Louis Vuitton and Skepta. This is the ultimate fashion meets function item and CP Company were one of the earliest pioneers of its design.

There is a focus on lightweight intermediate layers with garments which fulfils all the wearer’s needs for a contemporary urban environment. Stand out features of this season include more deconstructed shirts and sweatshirts which work both as a mid-layer and or outer layer. Breathability, ease of movement in combination with protective materials and technical pockets are all features which define this season’s release.
