ROM – The Return of The Classic
THE VINTAGE ROM RETURNS IN AN AUTHENTIC REISSUE
Originally released in the 1960’s to mirror the summer games in Rome, the Rom is now officially back in its latest re-release. The Rom has not been released since 2012 so it is highly anticipated. They were first released in 1959 and then went on to make their debut in the 1960 Olympics in Rome. This makes the Rom particularly special to Adidas as it is one of the oldest trainers out there even beating classic Samba and Gazelle which were released just shortly after in 1960. After their debut, the shoes soon became embraced all across Europe by football fans.
“ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SNEAKERS FOR THIS YEARS CITY SERIES”
The 2019 reissue stays true to its heritage and seems unchanged. It still uses the original silhouette whilst using leather and suede sitting on that classic wedge-shape midsole followed by the ripple like gum rubber outsole. The rom has subtle details which make this reissue highly anticipated for this year’s city series, the gold foil ROM lettering on the side mirrors its heritage.
