“Ties Not Necessary” – What To Wear This Wedding Season

If you are you heading to a wedding this summer and struggling for something to wear, then read on… Having been recently approached by a customer asking for advise who told me that he was going to a wedding this summer. Traditionally a formal event, the groom told him that it would be a wedding where ties would not be necessary, allowing for much wriggle room when it comes to looking smart, but not too hot, as is becoming the norm.

So… What To Wear

For an open-neck formal I would always recommend wearing a Relaxed Chambray Shirt as a nice lightweight option throughout the warmer weathers and coupling it with a Blue Linen Jacket.  Even if “No Ties” have been requested I would still  personally select a tie that twins nicely with the shirt of your choice in the case of any last minute change of minds, especially if there is some extra room in your suitcase.

For the bottom half I would recommend a pair of Tapered Fit White or Stone Cotton Trousers along side a pair of Suede Loafers worn without viable socks.  To accessorise the look add a pair of braces or a Trilby by Stetson.  You can view some of the selected items from above that are available at Stuarts London below.
