Barbour 2016 – Why we’re still loving the British brand
2015 was a busy year for Barbour, the quintessentially British brand propelled itself even further into our fashion consciousness, proving that really great brands have staying power – and the ability to evolve. As we kick off 2016, we’ve had a look back at some of the key moments of the Barbour 2015 campaign, from the iconic countrywear to the more youth focused heritage collection.
Heritage in Adventure
In November, Barbour launched an ambitious social campaign – ‘Heritage of Adventure’. This charted photographer Sean Conway’s journey in the Lake District, trying to find the perfect shot.
The video signalled the launch of the A/W 2015 Great Collection for men and Arctic Expedition collection for women. Taking inspiration from Barbour pieces designed to protect adventurers in extreme weather, the campaign showcased the best of the British countryside and the best of Barbour.
The Barbour lifestyle collection has always been a popular choice for those looking to incorporate classic Barbour fashion into their everyday wardrobe. The 2015 collection continued to impress with chunky knits, scarves and jackets created in the signature Barbour fabrics and colours. Another exciting move for the brand was a collaboration with another British brand, Land Rover. This range combines luxurious fabrics and classic tailoring to showcase the rich heritage that both brand are renowned for.
