Paul Smith Jeans | Spring Summer Collection
Paul Smith Jeans first landed at Stuarts London in December 2012. Its not really a brand that needs any sort of introduction. Over the lifespan of Paul Smith , such is the respect within the industry of the designer men’s brand, you have to take time and step aside to admire the creative and hard work that gets taken for granted so easily.
Over the many decades, Paul Smith has established a firm foothold in nearly every part of men’s and women’s fashion. Japan is Paul Smith’s largest country in respective of sales outside of Europe.
How does a brand manage to sustain itself in such a competitive environment?
Its a very simple answer if Sir Paul Smith had to answer it himself. When a combination of fine fabrics, quality and talent are encapsulated into each design, one can only expect the end result to have a positive impression at first glance.
Being a fan of Paul Smith myself since my early days in fashion, I still have quite a few cherished pieces lurking around the wardrobe that are more than 10 years old. Even after many years of seasonal spring clean ups, these garms have never made the ‘charity shop drop’.
Although the collection at Stuarts London is very large indeed which you can view here:
Below I have selected an outfit idea which will look great for the summer season no matter what the unpredictable weather throws at us.
1. A classic blazer displayed in sand and also available in navy too. A great price at £210 , comes with taped seam detail on the inside. It’s a shorter fit on the body moving away from the classic silhouette , making it more of an ideal look to accomodate a pair of jeans or even chino pants and shorts. | Click Here to View Blazer |
2. Vintage washed denim, in a worn look. Signature Paul Smith button fly. The style of the denim a slim tapered fit. The Fabric has a deliberate crinkle look, however can be ironed out for a neater appeal. Priced at £99 | Click Here to View Denim |
3. Slip on sandals made from top grade Italian leather. Soft cushioned footbed for added comfort. Tonal Paul Smith Stripe detail. Perfect to compliment a pair of shorts or a rolled up jeans. Available in two colours priced at £110 | Click Here to View Sandals |
You may have noticed I haven’t selected a top to work inside the blazer. To be honest with the Paul Smith Jeans Collection you are quite spoiled for choice. Not being able to make my mind up I have narrowed it down to three posibilities. I selected these if you wanted to take the blazer off at those tricky warm parts of the day , yet still needed the Blazer for the evening , the top underneath will still complement rest of the out fit.
A classic polo shirt with the Zebra logo is a simple choice and one that can be transfered to any outfit for a bit of mix and match styling. However my number one choice was the 100% linen shirt below, which looks great on with a blazer but even better when worn over a plain white t-shirt, open buttoned and rolled up sleeves.
Finally Paul Smith wouldn’t be a collection if there wasn’t a bit of fun involved in the range. As always ‘Smithy’s’ T-shirts have novel illustration ideas that pay tribute the Zebra logo. Available in a range of colours and prints.
Stuarts London is proud to present the Spring Summer 2013 collection of Paul Smith.
