New Balance Farmers Market Pack AW 12

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of New Balance’s Flimby Factory in Cumbria, England, New Balance for Autumn/Winter 2012 have created the Farmers Market to mark the occasion. Inspired by the British Farmer’s market, these shoes celebrate all that is British, hand crafted using premium materials for a truly special collection.

A release that comprises of two premium editions of the classic M577 and each style draws inspiration from the area of Cumbria, where the legendary Flimby New Balance factory is situated and executed in a mix of lux materials including a combination of waxed suedes, plush nubuck, cotton canvas and woven tweeds.

The first collection is a trio of high quality trainers named’ The 576 Cutting Room Pack’ each of which are named after three of their long-standing employees, Ray Ball, Billy Edgar and Andy Mandle and reflecting each of their individual attributes. Combining the influence of both the farmer and his livestock, these two models in dark blue and dark olive are crafted entirely from locally sourced materials. Featuring waxed/vintage suede and canvas uppers with sheepskin used to create a plush insole and yellow  cow-based ear tags to complete the rural theme.
