Preppy to Travellers Wear: Woolrich Woolen Mills 2013 S/S lookbook

Woolrich Woolen Mills Men’s Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook

For over 180 years Woolrich has been producing beautiful outdoor-inspired clothing. And now with the release of Mark McNairy’s Woolrich Woolen Mills men’s pre-winter 2012-2013 lookbook consisting of preppy and slightly retro inspired looks, consisting of travellers wear, from the headwear to the repeated appearance of the cargo pants. Tartan, digi-camo, seersucker, checks, stars and stripes all feature in relaxed versions of more formal garments, blazers, button’s downs, bowties and all you can see in  rucksacks, bags and  more than suitable for comfortable wear and  long distances walk.

Probably the sort of wear that Mark would wear himself. It mixes up more camo, stars and stripes with blazers, bowties, button downs and other gentlemen’s apparel. The collection balance a sartorial aesthetic with a streetwear edge.  Finally coming into his own, McNairy’s looks for the Spring/Summer 2013 campaign reveal more about his design sensibilities and personal style than any of his previous collections.

With a knack for always creating things on his own terms, and wearing whatever fits his mood – appropriate or not – the Spring/Summer 2013 collection delivers an unabashed look into the mind of one of fashion’s most compelling designers.
